I registered for this swing for my son. When we got it we put it together and it looked great. Once my son was about 4 1/2 months the swinging motion would stop and almost come to a standstill. This would disturb him when he would be in that "almost aleep mode" us parents love. The seat is also not very deep and doesn't recline back very far, I am nervous he will fall out so when he sits in it I have my 7 year old sit right at his feet just in case. [...] The FP Aquarium Cradle Swing would be the way to go...family and friends have it and its great!

I loved the looks of this swing when I was registering, but have had a few problems with it. The left side of the toy bar broke the first time we used it. I called Mattel and they replaced it with no problem, but it just broke again in the same place. Another problem I had is how fast the swing moves on the first level. It was way too fast for my baby the first couple months, so I never used it. Also, the straps are too small for older babies. I called Mattel again and they are happy to give refund with no trouble, but would not recommend this particular swing to anyone.

I found the swing to be cute so I purchased it thinking my son would love it. I bought this swing hoping the mobile would keep his attention, but every time I put the mobile in front of him, he flinches each time the stars spin around towards him. I think he is afraid they are going to hit him. He is already 4 months old so I didn't think this would be an issue, but perhaps his vision is just not ready to handle the "falling stars". We also have the fisher price aquarium swing and he absolutely loves to watch the fish "swim" in a circle--perhaps he was just not ready to handle the "falling stars" of this swing.

As far as music and motion go, the volume is perfect on this swing and I love that it starts swinging almost immediately.

I love the volume on this swing. The volume is not too loud.And is just right for little babies ears.

This is a great swing but it was really difficult to put together. The swing did not come with any instructions and was missing the tray. However, Fisher-price supplied us with the missing items (no questions asked) and now we love the swing. The sounds are very clear and the adjustable volume is nice.

I have been very impressed with this product since we brought our 3 month old home from the hospital. The toy bar engages him with the moon and stars and he loves the music. I love the fact that the music is optional. When all else failed during those first, few, sleepless weeks, this swing lulled him to sleep and the open top allowed for easy transport to bed. The first toy bar that came with the swing broke, however, Fisher-Price sent a replacement immediately at no charge. Assembly was relatively easy. The sound of the stars rotating is a bit annoying at first, but now I'm used to it. Overall, a great product that I'd recommend to any parent!

Our grandson received this swing as a shower gift. He was rather fussy as a newborn, and at times, the only thing that would soothe him was this swing. Even at seven months, he still enjoys it. This is a "must-have".
